Hidden Gem Hotels Near Disneyland in Anaheim that Won't Break the Bank

Writer's picture: Amanda BattsAmanda Batts

Planning a trip to Disneyland means lots of excitement and magic, and also, lets be honest a bit of confusion since there are SO many hotels to choose from right outside of the park gates. Unlike Disney World in Orlando, where there are more on-site Disney official resorts than you can imagine, Disneyland in Anaheim has far more external brands that are, quite frankly, as close or closer to the main gate than the Disney branded locations. Speaking from my experience of staying at 8+ different brand hotels in Anaheim, there are lots of great options to make your stay comfortable, convenient and won't break the bank. I'm sharing my experience to help you find the perfect hotel for you that balances comfort, convenience, and value. While the resorts directly adjacent to Disneyland get the most attention, there are some hidden gems just a short distance away in Anaheim that offer a fantastic experience without the premium price tag. Here are seven underrated hotels that promise a memorable stay near the Happiest Place on Earth.
